1960 The Silver and Black

As of 2013, the Raiders belong to the Western Division of the American Football Conference (AFC), based in Oakland, California. Dennis Allen is the team head coach. Their long list of nicknames is The Silver and Black, The Men in Black, The Magnificent Eleven, The Team of the Decades, The Nation, America's Most Wanted, Raider Nation. In 1976, the team captured its first championship by defeating the Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl XI. In 1980, the Raiders unexpectedly won a second championship by defeating the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl XV. In 1983 they defeated the Washington Redskins in Super Bowl XVIII to capture a third championship.
