2002 The Texans
The team name search had been narrowed down to five choices: Bobcats, Stallions, Texans, Toros, and Apollos. On September 6, 2000, the NFL's 32nd franchise was officially christened the Houston Texans before thousands at a downtown rally on Texas Avenue. The team is a member of the South Division of the American Football Conference (AFC). Team head coach is Bill O'Brien. They had two Playoff appearances in 2011 and 2012. The Tennessee Titans, formerly the Houston Oilers before their relocation in the 1990s, are viewed by many Houston fans as the Texans' chief rival. The Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Indianapolis Colts, whom the Texans have never defeated in Indianapolis are also rivals to the Texans.
1996 The Ravens
The team's name was inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's poem The Raven — as Poe lived for a time in Baltimore, died and was buried there in 1849. The Ravens were established in 1996, when then-owner of the Cleveland Browns, announced plans to relocate the franchise to Baltimore. The Ravens are playing in the North Division of the American Football Conference (AFC). They are coached by John Harbaugh. They have experienced great success in their brief history, making the playoffs nine times since 2000, with Super Bowl XXXV and XLVII victories, two AFC Championship titles — 2000 and 2012, four AFC North division titles — 2003, 2006, 2011 and 2012.
1995 The Panthers
The Panters play in the southern division of the National Football Conference (NFC). They are based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Team head coach is Ron Rivera. In 2003 winning season, the team won the NFC Championship Game and reached Super Bowl XXXVIII, losing with the New England Patriots. After recording playoff appearances in 2005 and 2008, the team failed to record another playoff appearance until 2013. The Panthers have made the playoffs five times, reaching the NFC Championship Game in three of them. They have won four division titles, one of them in the NFC West and three of them in the NFC South; they have qualified for the playoffs five times.

1995 The Jags
The Jaguars, along with the Carolina Panthers, joined the NFL as an expansion team in 1995. The team is headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida. They are members of the South Division of the American Football Conference (AFC). The Jags, team nickname, are coached by Gus Bradley. Since their inception the Jaguars have won two division championships - 1998, 1999, and have made six playoff appearances - 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2005, 2007.
1976 The Hawks
The Seahawks joined the NFL in 1976 as an expansion team along with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They are members of the West Division of the NFC, based in Seattle, Washington. Their nicknames are The Hawks, The Blue Wave, The Legion of Boom (Secondary, 2010–present). They are coached by Pete Carroll. The Seahawks have won eight division titles and appeared in two Super Bowls, winning the championship in their second appearance, Super Bowl XLVIII. Seattle is the only team to have played in both the AFC and NFC Championship Games, having relocated from the AFC to the NFC during league realignment prior to the 2002 season.
1976 The Bucs
The Bucs, team nickname, are currently members of the South Division of the National Football Conference (NFC), based in Tampa, Florida. Lovie Smith is their current head coach. In 1976 and 1977, The Buccaneers lost their first 26 games. After a brief winning era in the late 1970s and early 1980s, the team suffered through 14 consecutive losing seasons. Then, for a 10-year period, they were consistent playoff contenders and won Super Bowl XXXVII. The Bucs, along with the New Orleans Saints and New York Jets, are the only NFL teams to win their lone Super Bowl appearance.

1968 The Bengals
Their home stadium is Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio. They are currently members of the North Division of the American Football Conference (AFC). Their current head coach is Marvin Lewis. The Bengals won AFC championships in 1981 and 1988, but lost Super Bowls XVI and XXIII to the San Francisco 49ers. The Bengals chief rivals are the Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers.
1967 The Bless You Boys
The Saints are based in New Orleans, Louisiana, currently members of the Southern Division of the NFC. The name "Saints" is an allusion to November 1 being All Saints Day in the Catholic faith, New Orleans' large Catholic population, and the spiritual When the Saints Go Marching In, which is strongly associated with New Orleans. Sean Payton is the team head coach. Nicknames list is very long - Black and Gold, The Who Dat Nation, The Bayou Boys, The Dome Patrol, The Who Dats Boys, The Bless You Boys, The Cajun Kids, The Beasts of The Bayou, The Simon Templars. Super Bowl XLIV is the only they have won, and as it is the only Super Bowl the Saints have appeared in, they join the New York Jets and Tampa Bay Buccaneers as the only three NFL teams to win their lone Super Bowl appearance.

1966 The Dirty Birds
The Falcons are tied with the Dolphins (who also began play in 1966) for being the oldest NFL franchise in the Deep South, and are the oldest NFC team in said region. They are a member of the South Division of the National Football Conference (NFC), based in Atlanta, Georgia. Team head coach is Mike Smith, team nickname is The Dirty Birds. In their 47 years of existence, the Falcons have compiled a record of 312–402–6 with division championships in 1980, 1998, 2004, 2010 and 2012. Their only Super Bowl appearance was during the 1998 season in Super Bowl XXXIII.
1966 The Fins
The Dolphins and the Atlanta Falcons (who also began play in 1966) are the oldest NFL franchises in the Deep South, and Miami is the oldest AFC team in that region. The Dolphins have their headquarters in Davie, Florida. Team head coach is Joe Philbin, team nickname is The Fins. They won Super Bowl VII and VIII. The team made its first Super Bowl appearance in Super Bowl VI, but lost to the Dallas Cowboys. Miami also appeared in Super Bowl XVII and Super Bowl XIX, losing both games.
1961 The Vikes
The Vikings currently participate in the North Division of the National Football Conference (NFC). Mike Zimmer is head coach, team nicknames are The Vikes, The Purple, Purple Pride, The Purple People Eaters, The Purple and Gold. The Vikings football team is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Since the team's first season in 1961, the Vikings have had one of the highest winning percentages in the NFL. The Vikings have won one NFL Championship, in 1969. The team has played in four Super Bowls IV, VIII, IX and XI, losing in each one.

1960 The Cowboys
The franchise shares the record for most Super Bowl appearances (8) with the Pittsburgh Steelers, corresponding to most NFC championships (8). The Cowboys are the only NFL team to record 20 straight winning seasons (1966–85), in which they only missed the playoffs twice (1974 and 1984), an NFL record that remains unchallenged. They won Super Bowl VI, XII, XXVII, XXVIII and XXX. The Cowboys head coach is Jason Garrett. They are headquartered in Valley Ranch in Irving, Texas. Play in the Eastern Division of the National Football Conference (NFC).

1960 The Bolts
The club began play in 1960 as a charter member of the American Football League (AFL), and spent its first season in Los Angeles, California before moving to San Diego, California in 1961. They have been members of the Western Division of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the NFL since 1970. Team nicknames are The Bolts and San Diego Super Chargers, head coach is Mike McCoy. The Chargers won one AFL title in 1963 and reached the AFL playoffs five times. At the end of the 1994 season, the Chargers faced the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XXIX and fell 49–26.
1960 The Silver and Black
As of 2013, the Raiders belong to the Western Division of the American Football Conference (AFC), based in Oakland, California. Dennis Allen is the team head coach. Their long list of nicknames is The Silver and Black, The Men in Black, The Magnificent Eleven, The Team of the Decades, The Nation, America's Most Wanted, Raider Nation. In 1976, the team captured its first championship by defeating the Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl XI. In 1980, the Raiders unexpectedly won a second championship by defeating the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl XV. In 1983 they defeated the Washington Redskins in Super Bowl XVIII to capture a third championship.
1960 The Chiefs
Originally named the Dallas Texans, the team was founded by Lamar Hunt in 1960 as a charter member of the American Football League (AFL). In 1963, the team relocated to Kansas City and assumed their current name. They are couched by Andy Reid, based in Kansas City, Missouri. From 1960 to 1969, the Chiefs were a successful franchise in the AFL,
winning three league championships (in 1962, 1966 and 1969). The Chiefs were the second AFL team (after the New York Jets) to defeat an NFL franchise in an AFL–NFL World Championship Game when they defeated the Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl IV.
1960 The Broncos
They are members of the West Division of the American Football Conference (AFC), coached by John Fox, based in Denver, Colorado. The Broncos nickname was Orange Crush (1977–79 defense). They did not have a winning season until 1973. Four years later, in 1977, they made the playoffs for the first time in franchise history and advanced to Super Bowl XII.
Since then, the Broncos have become one of the NFL's more successful
teams, having suffered only six losing seasons in 35 years. They have
won seven AFC Championships and two Super Bowls XXXII and XXXIII.

1960 The Titans
Based in Nashville, Tennessee, the Titans are members of the South Division of the American Football Conference (AFC). Team head coach is Ken Whisenhunt. Previously known as the Houston Oilers, the team began play in 1960 in Houston as a charter member of the American Football League. The Oilers won the first two AFL championships, and joined the NFL as part of the AFL-NFL Merger in 1970. The team relocated from Texas to Tennessee in 1997. For two years, the team was known as the Tennessee Oilers, and changed its name to "Titans" in 1999.
1960 Gang Green
The team was founded in 1959 as the Titans of New York, the current name was adopted in 1963. The Jets are headquartered in Florham Park, New Jersey, they are a member of the Eastern Division of the American Football Conference (AFC). The team head coach is Rex Ryan and nickname is Gang Green. The Jets advanced to the playoffs for the first time in 1968 and went on to compete in Super Bowl III where they defeated the Baltimore Colts. Since 1968, the Jets have appeared in the playoffs thirteen times. However, the Jets have never returned to the Super Bowl, making them one
of three NFL teams to win their lone Super Bowl appearance, along with
the New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Team head coach is Bill Belichick.The Patriots are playing their home games in the town of Foxborough, Massachusetts at Gillette Stadium. Team nickname is The Pats. The team changed its name from the original Boston Patriots after relocating to Foxborough in 1971, although Foxborough is a suburb of Boston, 22 miles (35 km) away. Between 2001 and 2005, the Patriots became the second team in NFL history (after the Dallas Cowboys) to win three Super Bowls in four years (Super Bowl XXXVI, XXXVIII, and XXXIX), and the eighth (and most recent) to win consecutive Super Bowls.

1960 The Bills
The Buffalo Bills are based in Orchard Park, New York. They are members of the East Division of the American Football Conference (AFC), with Doug Marrone as the head coach. The Bills are the only team to win four consecutive conference championships, and are the only NFL team to play in four consecutive Super Bowl games, all of which they lost. The Bills only had one owner, Ralph Wilson, in their fifty-three years of existence and since 1972, they have played home games at Ralph Wilson Stadium in the Buffalo suburb of Orchard Park. The Bills are the only NFL team to play their home games within New York state, both the New York Giants and New York Jets play in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
1953 The Colts
The Colts play their games in Lucas Oil Stadium, based in Indianapolis, Indiana. The team is a member of the South Division of the American Football Conference (AFC). Chuck Pagano is the team head coach. The team was officially founded as the Baltimore Colts in 1953 and were based in Baltimore, Maryland until the team relocated to Indianapolis in 1984. The Colts had two Super Bowl appearances while in Baltimore, losing to the New York Jets in Super Bowl III, while defeating the Dallas Cowboys in Super Bowl V. The Colts moved to Indianapolis and have since appeared in the playoffs fourteen times, with two conference championships and one Super Bowl championship coming against the Chicago Bears in Super Bowl XLI.
1946 The Browns
The Cleveland Browns are based in Cleveland, Ohio. They are currently members of the North Division of the American Football Conference (AFC). Mike Pettine is their head coach. The Cleveland Browns were founded in 1945 (AAFC). Following the 1949 season, the AAFC folded, and the Browns were one of three franchises which joined the NFL (the others were the San Francisco 49ers and the original Baltimore Colts). The Browns won a championship in their inaugural - 1950 NFL season, as well as in the 1954, 1955, and 1964 seasons. From 1965 to 1995, they made the playoffs 14 times, but to date, have never won another championship and have never appeared in a Super Bowl.
1946 The Niners
The name "49ers" comes from the name given to the gold prospectors who arrived in Northern California around 1849 during the California Gold Rush. The name was suggested to reflect the voyagers who had rushed the West for gold. The Niners, the Scarlet and Gold are the team nicknames. They are based in San Francisco, California, playing in the West Division of the National Football Conference (NFC) with head coach Jim Harbaugh. The 49ers are known for having had one of the NFL's greatest dynasties, winning five Super Bowl championships in just 14 years, between 1981 and 1994, with four of those championships in the 1980s.
1937 The Rams
They are currently members
of the West Division of the National Football Conference (NFC), based in St. Louis, Missouri. Jeff Fisher is their head coach. The
Rams have won three NFL Championships (two pre-merger and one Super Bowl), and are the only NFL team to win championships in three different
cities (Cleveland, Los Angeles, and St. Louis). The Cleveland Rams (1936-1945) were
founded by attorney Homer Marshman in 1936. Their name, the Rams, comes from the nickname of Fordham University. "Rams" was selected to honor the hard work of the
football players that came out of that university.
1933 The Eagles
The Eagles are an American football team based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They are members of the East Division of the National Football Conference (NFC), with head coach Chip Kelly. The Eagles have won three NFL titles and made two Super Bowl appearances, losing both (in 1980 to the Oakland Raiders and 2004 to the New England Patriots). The Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers are both located in Pennsylvania and began play in 1933. In 1970, the Steelers moved to the American Football Conference (AFC) while the Eagles stayed with the rest of the old-line NFL teams in the NFC. Currently they are scheduled to meet once every four years in the regular season, with the next meeting in 2016.
1933 The Black and Gold
The team currently belongs to the North Division of the American Football Conference (AFC), with head coach Mike Tomlin. The Steelers have several nicknames, most notably "The Black and Gold" and the Pittsburghese dialect "Stillers" or "Stihllers". They are based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Steelers are the oldest franchise in the AFC. Pittsburgh has won more Super Bowl titles – 6, won more AFC Championship Games – 8, and played in –15 and hosted more –11 conference championship games than any other AFC or NFC team. The Steelers share the record for most Super Bowl appearances with the Dallas Cowboys – 8.

The Detroit Lions are a professional American football team based in Detroit, Michigan. They are members of the North Division of the National Football Conference (NFC). The team head coach is Jim Caldwell. The Lions have won four NFL Championships, tied for 9th overall in total championships among all 32 NFL franchises; although the last was in 1957, which gives the club the second-longest NFL championship drought behind the Arizona Cardinals. The Lions are the only franchise to have gone winless since the move to sixteen season games in 1978, going 0–16 during the 2008 NFL season. They are also one of four current teams to have never played in the Super Bowl.

1921 The Pack
Head coach of Green Bay Packers is Mike McCarthy. Current team nicknames are The Pack, and The Green and Gold. The football team is based in Green Bay, Wisconsin. They are members of the North Division of the NFC. They have won 13 league championships (more than any other team), including 9 NFL championships prior to the Super Bowl era and four Super Bowl victories - in 1967 (Super Bowl I), 1968 (Super Bowl II), 1997 (Super Bowl XXXI) and 2011 (Super Bowl XLV). The Packers have long-standing, bitter rivalries with their NFC North (formerly the NFC Central) opponents, the Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings and the Detroit Lions. The Bears–Packers rivalry is one of the oldest rivalries in NFL history, dating back to 1921.

1920 Da Bears

They are members of the North Division of the National Football Conference (NFC). The Bears have won nine NFL Championships (eight pre-merger, and one Super Bowl). The Bears hold the NFL record for the most enshrines in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, with 27 members, and the most retired jersey numbers (14). The Bears have also recorded more regular season and overall victories than any other NFL franchise.
1920 The National Football League
The NFL was formed on August 20, 1920, as the American Professional Football Conference; the league changed its name to the American Professional Football Association (APFA)
on September 17, 1920, and changed its name to the National Football
League on June 24, 1922, after spending the 1920 and 1921 seasons as the
APFA. In 1966, the NFL agreed to merge with the rival American Football League (AFL), effective 1970; the first Super Bowl was held at the end of that same season in January 1967. The champions of the Super Bowl are awarded the Vince Lombardi Trophy. Lombardi is considered by many to be one of the best and most successful coaches in NFL history. He was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1971.
