1966-2013 Winners

The table presents Super Bowl winners in years 1966 to present.









2002 The Texans

The team name search had been narrowed down to five choices: Bobcats, Stallions, Texans, Toros, and Apollos. On September 6, 2000, the NFL's 32nd franchise was officially christened the Houston Texans before thousands at a downtown rally on Texas Avenue. The team is a member of the South Division of the American Football Conference (AFC). Team head coach is Bill O'Brien. They had two Playoff appearances in 2011 and 2012. The Tennessee Titans, formerly the Houston Oilers before their relocation in the 1990s, are viewed by many Houston fans as the Texans' chief rival. The Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Indianapolis Colts, whom the Texans have never defeated in Indianapolis are also rivals to the Texans. 




1996 The Ravens

The team's name was inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's poem The Raven  as Poe lived for a time in Baltimore, died and was buried there in 1849. The Ravens were established in 1996, when then-owner of the Cleveland Brownsannounced plans to relocate the franchise to Baltimore. The Ravens are playing in the North Division of the American Football Conference (AFC). They are coached by John Harbaugh. They have experienced great success in their brief history, making the playoffs nine times since 2000, with Super Bowl XXXV and XLVII victories, two AFC Championship titles  2000 and 2012, four AFC North division titles  2003, 2006, 2011 and 2012.


1995 The Panthers

The Panters play in the southern division of the National Football Conference (NFC). They are based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Team head coach is Ron Rivera. In 2003 winning season, the team won the NFC Championship Game and reached Super Bowl XXXVIII, losing with the New England PatriotsAfter recording playoff appearances in 2005 and 2008, the team failed to record another playoff appearance until 2013. The Panthers have made the playoffs five times, reaching the NFC Championship Game in three of them. They have won four division titles, one of them in the NFC West and three of them in the NFC South; they have qualified for the playoffs five times.

1995 The Jags

The Jaguars, along with the Carolina Panthers, joined the NFL as an expansion team in 1995. The team is headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida. They are members of the South Division of the American Football Conference (AFC). The Jags, team nickname, are coached by Gus Bradley. Since their inception the Jaguars have won two division championships - 1998, 1999, and have made six playoff appearances - 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2005, 2007.


1976 The Hawks

The Seahawks joined the NFL in 1976 as an expansion team along with the Tampa Bay BuccaneersThey are members of the West Division of the NFC, based in SeattleWashington. Their nicknames are The Hawks, The Blue Wave, The Legion of Boom (Secondary, 2010–present). They are coached by Pete CarrollThe Seahawks have won eight division titles and appeared in two Super Bowls, winning the championship in their second appearance, Super Bowl XLVIII. Seattle is the only team to have played in both the AFC and NFC Championship Games, having relocated from the AFC to the NFC during league realignment prior to the 2002 season. 


1976 The Bucs

The Bucs, team nickname, are currently members of the South Division of the National Football Conference (NFC), based in Tampa, Florida. Lovie Smith is their current head coach.  In 1976 and 1977, The Buccaneers lost their first 26 games. After a brief winning era in the late 1970s and early 1980s, the team suffered through 14 consecutive losing seasons. Then, for a 10-year period, they were consistent playoff contenders and won Super Bowl XXXVII. The Bucs, along with the New Orleans Saints and New York Jets, are the only NFL teams to win their lone Super Bowl appearance.
